I’ve been excited for Randy and Sydney’s wedding all summer – and if we’re being serious, probably way before then! These two love to be unique and have such a great eye for detail and flair for the unexpected. I knew their wedding day was going to be amazing and no detail would be left out!
The day started how I love my Mitchell, SD weddings to start – at Hollywood Style! I got to see the fabulous Tera at work again – she is just fantastic! I absolutely loved Sydney’s bridal look. The thick braid and low bun were so perfect and her makeup was flawless. Perfect work as always, Tera! Of course, the rest of Syd’s girls were stunning as well. That Hollywood crew is top notch!
And here we go with those details! Sydney’s bouquet was a stunning arrangement of bright fuscia, peach, and pops of greenery, finished off with a huge satin ribbon. OBSESSED. And her jewelry! I LOVE the two-tone trend of wedding rings this year (Syd’s band is rose gold). Plus, check out those earrings and that necklace! Jaw. Dropping.
Of course, Sydney’s dress didn’t disappoint either. That day, she said, “It’s seriously the most ‘me’ dress I’ve ever owned!” I love that! That’s absolutely how a bride should feel about her wedding dress. I loved all the detail and the hint of blush instead of traditional white – because Sydney is not traditional!
I am a huge floral lover, so all the pops of floral just killed me. Randy’s tie was awesome (and an Etsy find!) and I loved his and all the groomsmen’s initials tie clips.
I love this wedding party! When you go to high school with the bride and groom, and spend a fair number of weekends with them, it sure makes for a good time when you get to tag along on their wedding day. Even my brother in law and sister in law were in the wedding! It was seriously a blast to be part of everything.
Ohhhh these bridesmaid details. They may be some of my favorite ever. I just loved those pops of pink against the neutral dresses, and I loved that each dress was just a bit different. So flattering!
Love these custom koozies!
Just when we thought it couldn’t get any better, it was time for the reception. WOW. The Highland Conference Center looked absolutely breathtaking draped in gold sequins and pink florals. And that pink uplighting seriously filled the room! It was like an entirely different space than usual. LOVE!!
How many donut holes did I steal from this dessert buffet? The limit does not exist.
Leave it to the Kiewel’s – I went to photograph a few details after the cake cutting and was surprised by these sweet “I do, Me too,” forks. Finding all these hidden gems throughout a wedding day is seriously like a treasure hunt that just keeps getting better!
Randy and Sydney, thank you so much for letting me be part of your wedding day! I have so enjoyed getting to know you both even more over the last couple years as I’ve had the chance to photograph your proposal, engagement, and now wedding day. Thank you for including me in your lives!! I hope your Canadian honeymoon is phenomenal (I’M SO JEALOUS!) and I can’t wait to hear all about it!
