My favorite kind of wedding has nothing to do with the location or the flowers, and everything to do with the people. When the bride and groom are excited for their big day because they get to marry their best friend–those are my people. And those people are Trevor and Dana.
Trevor and Dana got married in Emery, SD on a mild July day–which never happens in South Dakota! Their day was elegant with a rustic twist, and while it was simple (the bride and bridesmaids had freshly picked hydrangeas for their bouquets!) it was far from plain.
This wedding was the first ever at Al’s A1 Pheasant Ranch, in their new event venue Feathers at the Ranch. Oh my gosh, guys. This place is stunning. Dana and her family did the most amazing job of decorating and the lodge was the perfect venue for the evening after the beautiful outdoor ceremony.
Guests were able to chat and mingle on the patio under string lights, and there was bean bags and Spikeball to play. Guys–if you’re getting married ever, please consider this venue. It was so perfect and made for some a fun, laid back day having everything in one place!
We ended the night with sunset photos and a sparkler exit, which made for some of my favorite shots of the day. Dana and Trevor, thank you a million for letting me capture your day. I hope you love these photos, because I’m head over heels. Cheers!
