My business coach told me to send an email.
I was planning on spending the day keeping myself busy with things that don’t really move the needle in my business. I’m sure you have days like that, too. You know what you need to do, but you’re not doing it. Instead, you’re spending your time doing what comes easy. The stuff that’s not pushing you outside your comfort zone.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
But then my coach told me to send an email. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I’ve got a great email list that I know I need to do more with, but I’ve spent the last couple months not doing much with it. Because it’s uncomfortable. It’s not as fun as social media. It’s something I have to work at. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Even though I have all these grand ideas of how to make this part of my business better, I wasn’t doing anything.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀
But then my coach told me to send an email.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So I sent one. And honestly, that’s coaching for you. We can have all the best ideas in the world, but sometimes we just freaking need somebody to give us permission to act on them. Or in this case, a kick in the pants to act on them.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
How often in your business do you need someone just slightly ahead of you, telling you to do the dang thing? Someone who believes in you and can see your business through a different lens? Someone who’s there to listen to all your crazy, amazing ideas (and maybe even give you some new ones), and then tell you to get to work.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So often we are practically sitting on piles of cash and success and achievement when it comes to our businesses, and we don’t even know it without a nudge from someone else.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
That’s what coaching is all about, really. And it’s why I will never not be investing in my education, and why I think you should consider it, too.
