These two have been so patient as I dig myself out of busy season! We squeezed their engagement session in a few weeks ago, and I’m so excited to finally share it.
We hit up Sertoma Park for this session, and I loved how Nicole’s white dress popped against the tall grass. It was a breezy night, but we had a great time!
I first met Reed in high school, where we were in show choir together. Reed met Nicole a couple years later through the same show choir group. It’s been pretty cool to watch all the relationships and marriages come out of that program throughout the years!
I’ve said it before, but I’ll always say it: couples who fall in love in high school and then get married have such a special place in my heart! It’s such a cool thing to grow up and mature alongside your soul mate. It’s kind of a privilege, honestly, and such a wonderful thing to witness!
I can’t wait to see these two on their wedding day because they have so much fun together. Seriously, I don’t think that they stopped laughing all night long! It makes my job so dang easy when couples are so in love and happy with each other that they just forget I’m there.
It was a happy accident that Sertoma Park has a killer willow tree that I love to use, because Nikki and Reed actually got engaged under a willow tree. I mentioned possibly using the tree during their session, and when Nikki told me that, it sealed the deal!
Also – ask me how pumped I am to get detail shots with that ring on their wedding day!? YASSS…
I love how these two can just flip the switch and then nail a super romantic shot, too. Ah! LOOVE.
Reed and Nikki, thank you so much for asking me to be your wedding photographer! I can’t wait til your big day – it’ll be here before we know it!
