It all started with a right-swipe on Tinder.
Tim and Laura connected on the dating app and after a successful first date, the rest was history. It was obvious on their wedding day why the two hit it off so quickly. They have what every good match has: balance. When Laura was in self-proclaimed panic mode when a few wedding day things weren’t quite right, Tim was calm and collected, never batting an eye. Laura couldn’t help but breathe a sigh of relief with him around. As Tim remained even-keeled on their wedding day, helping with last minute details, Laura would smile and say, He’s a good man. He really is! And no one deserves that more than Laura.
When I asked Laura what her inspiration was for planning their wedding day, her answer made me smile: simple, elegant, laid back. Like a chill rehearsal dinner (because those are the fun part anyway!), where we happen to get married. YES! A girl after my own heart.
Tim and Laura got everything they planned for with their sweet, simple wedding. Their immediate families gathered for a short ceremony, amazing appetizers, and drinks at Crave in Downtown Sioux Falls. There were so many laughs and smiles, and of course, a few happy tears. I think my favorite part was how the couple included their families in every part of the day, especially Laura’s sweet three-year-old son, Harrison. I loved hearing him say, We’re married! Melt my heart.
Tim and Laura, I will not soon forget about your wedding and how privileged I felt to be one of your small crew on February 2. Thank you so much for letting me document your day. I wish you both (and my pal Harrison!) a lifetime of happiness! Cheers!
