Katie can’t live without three things: her Golden Retriever, Daisy, comfy clothes, and Luke. Lucky for me, I got to capture a few of those things on her wedding day (and no, it wasn’t bridal sweatpants, although her gorgeous dress did look INSANELY comfortable).
Katie and Luke are so incredibly laid back, which as you can imagine made their day a total blast. I could tell they never felt stressed or nervous; it was all about the love they had for each other, and they just couldn’t wait to say ‘I do.’
When we were finishing up the wedding day timeline early on in the week, I got a text from Katie asking if I thought it was crazy to stop by the local carnival for some fun wedding photos. I was so pumped about the idea, but wasn’t sure if we could make it work. Oftentimes after the wedding ceremony, the wedding party is understandably ready to be done with the picture-taking and get to the party.
This crew was different, though. They had so much fun simply hanging out together, and they were up for anything. We stopped by the carnival and captured some of my favorite wedding images EVER, and got a couple corn dogs, too. Best. Wedding. Ever.
Katie and Luke, thank you so much for including me in your day! I left feeling like I was more of a pal than someone you hired, and I am so happy we met. You two can bet I am going to hold you to that post-wedding beer when you’re back from the honeymoon!
