Ashley and Mitch’s wedding was a special one for many reasons. Selfishly, I think it’s going to stay a favorite of mine for a long time simply because of the people they asked to be involved. Ashley and I first connected in high school and became great friends right away.
The next year, when my sister started high school, she and Ashley became even closer. We were in all the same activities, and lived right across the street from each other as we finished high school. To top it all off, our parents became great friends as well, and in the last 10ish years our two crews have spent summers and holidays together – including at least one snowed-in Christmas game night that soon became a favorite memory of mine … and not just because there was a LOT of apricot slush consumed.
Ashley has always been fiercely independent and strong. She knows what she wants, and she’ll get it. She’s brilliant, beautiful, and one of the most fun people I’ve ever had the pleasure to get to know. When I first met Mitch a few years ago, I knew right away he’d be along for the long haul. Ashley wouldn’t have been as smitten if they weren’t an absolutely perfect match – and they SO are.
I’m still flying high from this wedding day, ya’ll. It was the absolute perfect day (Overcast!!! Not too hot or cold!) with the absolute best people. Not only was Mitch and Ashley’s wedding party probably the most well-educated I’d ever seen (most of them med students), they were also completely stunning and so kind and fun. Of course, that’s not surprising – I’ve learned that these two surround themselves with only the best!
I hope you enjoy these photos as much as I have. I can’t wait to deliver this full gallery to these newlyweds – to say I’m obsessed would be an understatement.
