Baby K: Grassy Field Maternity Session in Sioux Falls, South Dakota

I’ve started and stopped writing this blog post a handful of times in the last few days before I don’t really think I have the words to accurately describe how much I love this family, that I’m lucky enough to call my family.

My cousin Katie has been my best friend since before I can remember and I feel so lucky that we’ve just gotten closer as we’ve grown up. Now, we live under a mile from each other, and she and her amazing husband Tyler are a huge part of not only my life, but Simon’s, too. They just love that little boy so much it makes my heart hurt. I know they’ll be the best parents to Baby K when he arrives in October. (Although I think he’ll come much sooner!)

Katie and Ty are such a fun couple, and I love their love. They’re absolutely made for each other, and having just done the new baby thing myself, I can’t wait to see their love grow as they become parents for the first time. This baby is so lucky!

It really is too bad that they’re not good looking though… 😉

We shot Katie and Tyler’s couple maternity session at Sertoma Park in Sioux Falls and I absolutely love how all these images turned out. I love the look of the tall grass surrounding these two in the field; so pretty and sweet!

Katie brought some great outfits for the session. This coral maxi dress was so pretty on her, and I loved the flower crown she put on for a few of the photos. There’s just something about a pretty maxi and a flower crown on a beautiful mama-to-be. So sweet!

These two. I DIE. Look at Tyler just nuzzling into her. UGH SO CUTE.

Her second dress was actually one she borrowed from me! I love this baby blue backless maxi dress – especially for mamas of boys! Plus, doesn’t her skin look amazing against that blue?

This little patch of yellow flowers was so perfect for the light blue dress, and we thought the flower crown would be a perfect touch, too. I love these images!
