Halle was one of my 2015-2016 seniors! She selected a senior MAX session as part of her senior portraits, but also added a seasonal photo shoot…so we got together twice!

We shot a few of her portraits in early fall in Mitchell, South Dakota, where Halle attended high school (and I did, too!). We spent our time out by Lake Mitchell on a gorgeous late summer/early fall evening. It was beautiful!

Earlier in the year, Halle met me in Sioux Falls for the majority of her senior session. We covered a ton of ground there!

Halle also got her hair and makeup done by Lacey Mae, and it turned out fabulously. I love working with hair and makeup artists! They know exactly what to do to make senior girls look their absolute best, and still totally themselves. It’s wonderful to see the girls’ confidence just radiate after their hair and makeup is done!

I’m a huge One Tree Hill fan, and I told Halle she looked so much like Quinn James in these photos! I couldn’t get over it.

Halle brought a ton of outfits to choose from and we made it through almost every single one. The awesome thing about senior MAX sessions is that we have a ton of time for lots of outfit changes, so we get a ton of variety. It’s kind of mind-blowing what we can do in those hours!

Just. So. Pretty.

Then, we headed to Downtown Sioux Falls for a change of scenery. This is another great thing about senior MAX sessions. We can usually do both a rural and urban session and it’s so fun.

I love how Halle gave so many different varieties of expressions! Serious, smiling, laughing…she rocked it all.

LOVED these sunflowers that we found in the courtyard of the Old Courthouse Museum. So perfect right before sunset. And hellooooo, lens flare.

Right before the sun set, we headed out to the pond at Arrowwood Park for the last of Halle’s session. I love this shot right by the water. It was gorgeous. Plus, barefoot photos are my fave!
